The team of experts offers beard restoration that can make your goatee, sideburns, mustache, full beard, and even small patches where hair doesn't grow, look stunning and natural.

Am I a candidate for a beard transplant?

The best way to determine if you are a candidate for a beard transplant is to schedule a consultation with our DHI doctor specialized in hair implantation, thereby evaluating the current condition of your donor area and affected area in your beard that requires a transplant.

How does a beard transplant work?

The DHI beard transplant procedure consists of placing hair follicles of the same person in a place where there are empty spaces or low density. The hair follicles are extracted from the back of your head (donor area) and are then implanted in the desired areas of your beard. The procedure lasts a few hours and you can return home on the same day. It is safe and in a controlled environment. The use of local anesthesia will take away any pain or discomfort you may have.

Depending on the amount of hair follicles needed, the procedure can be done in one or two consecutive days, as we shorten time to make the experience enjoyable and to offer the longest possible survival of hair follicles.

Hair follicles are cared for, complying with strict protocols to achieve the highest effectiveness, taking care of the vitality of the hair follicles in order to achieve the desired results.

What areas can be implanted on the beard?

● Full beard
● Fill holes
● Goatee
● Mustache
● Lower lip
● Sideburns
● Increased density

What should I expect during my beard transplant?

DHI has simple steps for success:

Welcome: We provide you with a consent form, comfortable clothing for the procedure, vital signs are taken, pictures before and after selected design markings, and shaving your donor area.

1. EXTRACTION PHASE
The patient is positioned on a soft and comfortable chair, face down in order to extract the follicles precisely one by one. It is done with a punch of 1mm or less in diameter, customizing the angle, depth, and direction of each hair.

The extracted follicles are cleaned, classified by hair number and ordered in a special tray which contains hypothermosol (a substance that maintains the vitality of the hair for hours when outside of the skin).

The amount of time the procedure takes will vary from patient to patient and will depend on the ease of extraction, the type of skin, the quality of the donor area, and the amount of hair follicles that have to be extracted. However, the extraction phase will never exceed a maximum of 4 hours. A count of the hair follicles is done per hour until the agreed amount is reached. Once the extraction is finished, the patient will be informed of the exact number of hairs and follicles extracted, to proceed to a lunch or rest period of 20 to 30 minutes.

2. IMPLANTATION PHASE
The implantation takes place after lunch, having all the extracted hair counted. When observing the area to be implanted, a personalized mathematical distribution of the hair follicles is made to guarantee optimal results.

The follicles are placed one by one with the help of our patented implanter, which allows the specialist to implant according to the angle, direction, and depth that each patient requires, obtaining great results with the desired density.
